Rubber Soulive..Soulive to play tribute to The Beatles

New York City’s own jazz/soul/funk trio Soulive will be releasing Rubber Soulive, a funky rendition of 11 Beatles classics. Set for a September 14th release on the band’s own Royal Family Records, this album will feature renditions of such Beatles classics as “Come Together,” I Want You (She’s So Heavy),” “Revolution,” “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” just to name a few. While the album is cleverly entitled Rubber Soulive, it will not be a remake of the entire Rubber Soul album, as you may have thought. Soulive will be returning to its original trio format on this one, different from the last few albums in which experimented with different horns and vocalists. This album is sure to be a gem and a must have for any Soulive and/or Beatles fan, I can’t wait for this to drop..mark it down on your calendar and don’t forget to pick it up September 14th in a local music shop near you!
