Suff Daddy feat. Miles Bonny – “5 O’Clock Suff”

Dope video filmed somewhere in a tiny underground bar in Germany called Hole Sweet Hole. Probably one of the most laid back videos and songs I have heard in a long time. Miles Bonny is becoming a new favorite singer/songwriter of mine, and his beat maker, Suff Daddy, is equally as good. Check out their label Melting Pot Music for more free music and videos!

Miles Bonny – Incense and Wine (Free Download)

Miles Bonny honestly cares about the world’s potential. This is publicly expressed through a wide variety of communication forms. As a recording musician and DJ, Miles seeks to create atmospheres which encourage an awareness of life’s potential. When not working on music, he pursues a comprehensive understanding of the systems that manage our lives; manifested through professional social work and information dissemination.

Shak Nasti – Tanqueray’s (Orlando, FL)

Florida’s own eclectic, jazz, and funk groove ensemble, Shak Nasti, provides an escape from your every day, run of the mill band with pop-infused melodies that co-exist with experimental interludes of pure funk delight. In the world of Shak, infectious grooves and pulsating rhythmic flow dare you to remain seated. An evening with the powerhouse that is Shak Nasti is truly a unique musical experience. The musicians skillfully navigate through a gamut of musical styles leaving the listener electrified and wondering if there’s anything this band can’t play.

Wyclef Jean May Run For President In Haiti

The singer is considering to run for president in the country of Haiti, which would follow on from his appointment as ambassador-at-large for Haiti in 2007. “Wyclef’s commitment to his homeland and its youth is boundless, and he will remain its greatest supporter regardless of whether he is part of the government moving forward … If and when a decision is made, media will be alerted immediately.” Jean had previously claimed he was set to encourage the youth vote in Haiti during the upcoming election, but it appears his ambition may have taken a sizable leap since then. – via Prefixmag.com

Lauryn Hill – “Repercussions”

Who is stoked for the Rock the Bells tour?? Looks like Lauryn Hill is making a bit of a comeback. She’s been playing shows for a while now, but earlier this summer she was caught giving a lively performance at the Harmony Festival. She also took part in an interview with NPR and was added as a special guest to the Rock the Bells festival. If you haven’t checked out the lineup for Rock the Bells, check the link below!

Bruno Mars, B.o.B, & Cee-Lo – The Other Side

Can’t wait for the remix of this song. It will definitely be a good one.

Bruno Mars is collaborating with some amazing artists, and he is without a doubt someone to keep an eye on.

Exile – We’re All In Control

Big props to Fresh Selects for originally posting this video from producer Exile (Blu & Exile). This video is as unique and creative as the music behind it. I haven’t listened to many tracks only from Exile, but now I will be searching for many more thanks to this video. Stop motion animation was used to delicately create a strangely conceptual music video, promoting Exile’s album Radio.
