Erykah Badu – “Hollywood”

Some of the most pleasing harmonies Erykah Badu has ever laid down. “Hollywood” has always been a classic favorite of mine. Just wait until the last minute or so…

Flying Lotus – “Zodiac Shit”

Really dope beats from Flying Lotus off his newest album Cosmogramma. For those who have not tapped into the LA DJ/Producer, take a minute and enjoy the unique sounds you subliminally hear while watching late night Adult Swim on Comedy Central. This track is titled “Zodiac Shit”

Erykah Badu (Live At The Fix)

A rather small music venue in Portland, Ore known as The Fix, has recently hosted a number of popular acts despite its small size and location. The other night, Erykah Badu appeared in front of 300 people for her first show in Portland in quite some time.

Wyclef Jean May Run For President In Haiti

The singer is considering to run for president in the country of Haiti, which would follow on from his appointment as ambassador-at-large for Haiti in 2007. “Wyclef’s commitment to his homeland and its youth is boundless, and he will remain its greatest supporter regardless of whether he is part of the government moving forward … If and when a decision is made, media will be alerted immediately.” Jean had previously claimed he was set to encourage the youth vote in Haiti during the upcoming election, but it appears his ambition may have taken a sizable leap since then. – via

Sundance Submission – The Wackness (2008)

If you were a fan hip-hop music from the 90’s, you will love this movie. Ben Kingsley and Josh Peck co-star is this amazing Sundance Film submission released in 2008. It is one of my personal favorite movies of all time. The main character, Shaperro (played by Josh Peck),  plays a graduating high school student (Summer of 1995 in NYC)  who sells weed to his psychiatrist (played by Kingsley). Shaperro falls in love with his psychiatrist’s stepdaughter, which quickly comes and goes, just like the summertime.

Also Features: Method Man, Mary-Kate Olsen, Famke Janssen, Olivia Thirbly
